Teluk Penyu Beach



“Teluk Penyu” Beach is a coastal area south of Cilacap district, primarily along the coast of South Cilacap District location is not directly related to the Indian Ocean or Indonesia because it is surrounded by Nusakambangan Island. Teluk Penyu Beach is 2 km to the east of the Central Government Cilacap and can be reached by any transportation.

This bay has beautiful views and refreshing with an area of ​​about 14 ha. Teluk Penyu Beach Area are usually visited by the visitors (mainly tourists and local residents) usually ranging from fishing ports Ocean from the shoreline up to the so-called Area 70 (referring to the designation of the region surrounding community tanks of fuel accumulation of PT Pertamina UP IV ). From Area 70 we can see directly Nusakambangan Island from the beach. But, area 70 is only open until 6 pm and 6 pm over the access road to Area 70 was closed by the officer.

In area 70 near the oil refinery visitors can also see historical attraction attraction Pendem Citadel. Pendem fort was once a headquarters of the Dutch defense forces in Cilacap, Central Java, designed by Dutch architect. In the Bull Pendem we can see the Dutch heritage buildings such as barracks, fortress, fortress lookouts, meeting rooms, medical clinics, arsenal, powder magazine, prison space, kitchen, living officers, and the bullet chamber.
